MDT was equipped to complete United Refining's Lockport, New York store in half the time it would take a conventional builder and at significant cost savings. A new building was set in place while the existing building remained in service, allowing for a mere three days downtime between existing building shutdown and new building start-up.
MDT has since partnered with United Refining on numerous projects, including United Refining's most effective food service focused store in Watkins Glen, New York. For this space, MDT's custom build solution incorporated bulkheads, different ceiling heights and an HVAC system, as well as an additional 8' x 24' section incorporating additional freezer capacity and workspace. MDT's strict building schedule and fast track construction allowed the full-service facility to reopen the same site with a new advanced building and a completely new petroleum package in just over 60 days from commencement.
